Public data network -> Public Data NetworkPublic Data Network

Per WP:CAPS and WP:TITLE: this is a proper noun referring to the single, worldwide public data network, ala PSTN. It does not refer to a general network that happens to carry data and is publicly available. — Dgtsyb (talk) 22:42, 20 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. This is not a proper name. The article itself shows that it is indeed a general term for entities of a certain class: "A public data network is a network established and operated by a telecommunications administration, ...".
Neither WP:CAPS nor WP:TITLE gives support to this RM.

Public data transmission service merge

There's a 2020 proposal to merge Public data transmission service here. I support the proposal as it's a long-standing (since 2002) stub, best discussed together with other closely related topics. Klbrain (talk) 21:37, 9 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
