Talk:Polypore

I changed the definition of polypore since the old definition regarding continuous hymenium over the pore mouths is not a good character to differentiate boletes from polypores. For instance Gloeoporus spp. have continuous hymenium like many boletes. No single character does the job.

I also took the liberty of deleting the genus list, which to me appeared arbitrary. It's a good idea to have a genus list on the site, but it should either be comprehensive (e.g. based on Ryavarden's Genera of Polypores + recently described genera) or include a subset of well-known/important genera. In my view the genus listing is not a priority.
