Talk:Open patent

This page needs a chunk of rewrite. In particular, the two paragraphs referencing Stallman read like personal (and emotive) opinion and contain several weasel words. Adding references (e.g. to "Critics") would be a good start. Thomask0 (talk) 15:20, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Merge proposal

As explained here, I suggest merging the content of open patent to patentleft. Both seem to be about exactly the same concept, as far as I can see. --Edcolins (talk) 16:41, 26 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I concur.--Nowa (talk) 16:46, 26 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I was looking for a reference mentioning that "open patent" and "patentleft" are synonymous or at least closely related. If anyone is aware of such a reference or has search skills good enough to find one, this would very useful for the merge. --Edcolins (talk) 16:55, 26 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I haven't found one yet, but there is an orphaned Open Patent Alliance--Nowa (talk) 00:48, 27 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It's a blog, but worth a look. [1]--Nowa (talk) 00:53, 27 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
