This article is terrible
This article is poorly written because it is overly focused on the services offered by postal services, but almost entirely fails to explain how they do it. It doesn't cover the process by which mailpieces actually get from point A to point B: namely, collection, sorting, transport, sequencing, and delivery. A quick search on Google Books reveals a number of possible sources, but I am by no means an expert on the subject. This is not a core priority for me to research and document a dying industry mostly rendered obsolete (except for package delivery) by fax, email, and social media. Like many American attorneys, I have been forced to acquire a rudimentary understanding of how postal services work because proof of service by mail is relevant to calculating certain legal deadlines. - I just took a stab at adding on a "business model" section. But this is not my main priority. My main research priority for Wikipedia at the moment is the history of primary and secondary education in the United Kingdom. I am currently trying to understand why the evolution of British English grammar went off the rails over the last century, apparently due to gross mismanagement of education by multiple British governments more preoccupied with nationalizing transport and healthcare than ensuring that British children could read and write properly. --Coolcaesar (talk) 19:26, 23 December 2024 (UTC)
