Hi, sorry for my english. In this links there is a copy of a well known sport diary of barcelona the day after of the final match. There is a interview to WILLIAM MILSNE, (i think in fact is Billy Milne from arsenal the manager of the team and the article says its Arsenal manager... not the chelsea manager named in the article.

And the BARCELONA manager at the time of the final matches was the mitic Helenio Herrera, also interviewd in this link, not DOMENEC BALMANYA, fired from the club months ago, the first edition of the FARIS CUP was very large, during 3 years, DOMENEC was the manager at the start of the torunament, but at the time of the final matchs im sure (and here is a confirmation) was HELENIO HERRERA...

I can imagine something similar happens with the LONDON XI managers, there was different managers during the tournament.

Any idea where these came from? I haven't checked any of the others, but the bit for the game against Basel XI on 4 June 1955 has Harry Hooper scoring the final goal, whereas the 1955–58 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup article (referenced by RSSSF) has it as Eddie Firmani. Although it's unclear where the info was sourced from for this article, the goalscorers appear on Linguasport, which agrees that Hooper scored the goal (thanks to @Struway2 for that find). It would be good to know where the line-ups and goalscorers were sourced from for this article so we can compare the sources. Nzd (talk) 12:32, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Nzd: The original source for the full lineups was the now long-dead http://galeb.etf.bg.ac.yu/~mirad/Trivia/LondonXI.doc , which was on Milos Radulovic's site (see his RSSSF profile) and I can't find an archive copy of that particular page.

However... downloadable here is a scan of something called the Almanacco Totale del Calcio Europeo 1958. Scroll down to page 43 and you get full lineups, goalscorers, goal times etc of the 55–58 Fairs Cup. It gives that goal to Firmani.

There are more editions of that yearbook at https://annuari.files.wordpress.com . It's not something I'm acquainted with, and I can't find it on any bookselling sites, so I wonder if it's the unpublished work of the blogger and therefore not RS... The goalscorers (and minutes) are almost identical to those in the IFFHS publication EC 1 & Fairs Cup 1595-1960 (p. 158-171) The only difference is: Firmani scored in the 35th minute not the 33rd in the first match. Newspaper reports incl. Goalscorers, goal minutes and sometimes even line-ups are not always exactly the same in every newspaper or magazine. It doesn't surprise me to find differences like these. I don't know anything about the yearbooks, it looks like they copied a lot from various sources. I doubt it's an original source for anything. Cattivi (talk) 17:29, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
