So, am I missing something? The "Early Life Section" has these two statements in it: "James Gilmore Backus was born February 25, 1913 in Cleveland, Ohio" and "Backus was born in Caldwell NJ; his family left for Ohio when he was age 4." So, which is it?

Lebanese?
This claim is unsourced and it appears other websites copied that claim from Wikipedia. Looking at Backus' ancestry on Find A Grave back to the 1600s he doesn't seem to have any Lebanese ancestry. The Backuses came to America from England in the 1600s and I haven't found evidence of Lebanese ancestry from any if his other ancestors. Wellington Bay (talk) 04:33, 22 April 2025 (UTC)
