I have removed the stub status of this article, because now this, although not entire complete, can actually be considered an 'article'.

I think BeanShell deserves to be put in an entirely new, top level heading, because it is an important category for JRuby. Eventually, I'll try to include several examples and uses of it... unless someone can come up with a better organization.

We simply haven't the time to organize as much information yet, but soon the technical details will only be a small aspect to this article. I changed

frame.setDefaultCloseOperation(javax.swing.JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE)

to:

frame.setDefaultCloseOperation(javax.swing.JFrame::EXIT_ON_CLOSE)

. The former fails, while the latter works, with jruby 1.0.2-2 on Ubuntu Hardy. This is mentioned at http://markmail.org/message/jnrxw4cu4bhqu5e6 . It looks like the issue is Ruby's automatic methods. Superm401 - Talk 11:23, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
