Reversion Wipeout

  • The move to IBM RAMAC trademark and back again wiped out most of the interesting content from this article, not to mention the hard work of numerous editors. Please be less carful when moving and reverting pages! Benzamin 18 December 2006 6:54 UTC

Pointing to IBM 305 RAMAC instead of duplicate/incorrect text here

The text in the article (now in comment brackets) seems: 1. redundant with the IBM 305 article 2. where not redundant, wrong.

-- this text states that RAMAC is the disk (the IBM 350), while the IBM 305 page states that RAMAC is the computer system. Note also, that the Early IBM Disk Systems article does not identify the 350 as being 'RAMAC'.
-- this text states obsolete when the 1401 was introduced (my own correction to '1400 series'), while the 305 article states 'when the 1405 was introduced.

There is another problem in the 'redux' section.

IBM reused the RAMAC name for its Array Storage product family

appears to link to an article about IBM's Array Storage product family, but, in fact, does not.
