As a member of the GO.com launch team, what I remember is that Jeff Gold owned the domain "GO.com" and got snookered by a lawyer who didn't reveal that he was representing Disney into selling it to the mouse for practically nothing. I'm pretty sure none of whatever he was doing with the site was retained. Go.com had a chat feature, one room was TeenTalk - I was a user, as a minor. It was completely unmoderated and often contained material you would have found on 4chan some years later.
