Features claimed
Regarding the August 14th, 2013 edit by User:Deb which changed "Features" to "Features claimed for geWorkbench" in the section title - Each of the features could be documented by reference to the relevant documentation page on the geWorkbench website, e.g. t-test, Hierarchical Clustering, Regulatory Network Reconstruction etc. However, this would put a reference onto each word in the claims. Is there another acceptable way to demonstrate that the features are not just claims but readily available? Are there any specific objections to the listed features? - I'll be honest, I don't even remember this edit, but I think what concerned me was the promotional tone of the article. You cannot reference that a product has a particular feature by reference to its own advertising. What it boils down to is: why do you want to highlight these features? Deb (talk) 09:19, 26 November 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry for this delayed response. I understand your point regarding promotional language. In creating the page I modeled it on those of similar projects such as Cytoscape and Genepattern, both of which have similar "Features" sections (without any qualifications placed). I can try to change the tone but a list of the basic features seems important to the description of what the program does. The description is also closely based on published material cited in the article (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2894520/) We are highlighting these features so that readers can see if the program might be useful to them.
