I have moved this to Franco-Benoni from its original location, Franco-Sicilian Defense. I'm pretty confident the former is the more common name; it's the name given to the opening in the Oxford Companion to Chess, in this article by Tim Harding, and this CD-ROM, for example. I can't find comparable references calling it the Franco-Sicilian (that name seems to be used, where it's used at all, for the common setup against the King's Indian Attack with c5, d5 and e6). --Camembert 20:05, 7 May 2005 (UTC)
- According to Standard Chess Openings by Eric Schiller it is the Franco-Sicilian. He also lists it under d4 defense although I'm not sure why. I don't disagree with the move Falphin 20:07, 7 May 2005 (UTC)
Should, 1. d4 e6 2. c4 c5 be mentioned because of it's similarity?? Falphin 20:36, 7 May 2005 (UTC)
