Nop, Name of species, is generally capatilized. (Maybe the reptile people do it different, but this is what I see at all bird and mammal pages.)-- Kim van der Linde at venus 04:01, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Crother et al. 2008 lists the species name for the fox snake as Pantherophis vulpinus. Therefore the justification in keeping the species name as Elaphe vulpina is not valid.
