I'm not able to edit this article and I would appreciate it if someone could look into this. Daniel Kryzhanovski (talk) 17:49, 2 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Romanization issue: Incorrect use of BH standard over MH

The current romanization, deḡel Jiśrāʾēl, is incorrect, and should be replaced with degel Yisraʾel per Help:IPA/Hebrew. 'y' is always standard for consonental 'י'. The rest of the changes result from switching from Biblical Hebrew to Modern Hebrew romanization standards, as is required for topics pertaining solely to the modern State of Israel (such as this one).

For reference, this term is pronounced [ˌdegel jisʁaˈʔel] in IPA, which may also be useful to include. I cannot edit this article, so I'd appreciate if someone else could. 76.100.105.131 (talk) 20:20, 6 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Charliehdb (talk) 14:09, 6 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

"Sky-blue" or "dark sky-blue"?

At the end of the section "Design" there is a sentence distinguishing the "dark sky-blue" stripes versus the "simply sky-blue" Star of David. But in the quotation just above that they are both described as "dark sky-blue". Remove the sentence? 180.150.36.190 (talk) 16:12, 9 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Description of suggested change:

In the “Design” part:

  • Move the image of the “modern photo” to the right side, above the infobox with technical details of the flag. This will make the section readable on 4:3 displays (like iPad) instead of showing 1 to 3 words per line of text which makes it difficult to read.

Thanks. ~2025-42676-82 (talk) 22:44, 24 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Done If another editor has a prettier solution, please do. Lotta images on the right hand side. closhund/talk/ 07:40, 25 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The reason there was a cramped layout is the images. Another user Kxeon experimented with different layouts. But do we actually need those images? They don't describe anything in the article. The caption even says that the drawings differ by something that is not codified. Why are these drawings important enough to take up space? Why is isometry important to the flag of Israel? I don't know closhund/talk/ 04:17, 30 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
