Equation seems wrong
I don't think the equation for S(t) can be right? Doesn't seem to take into account the possibility that the process may move beyond xc then back again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.205.124.72 (talk) 23:00, 13 October 2013 (UTC)
Needs work
This page needs a lot of work for both content and its exposition. An excellent reference is "A Guide to First Passage Processes" by Sidney Redner. Adamace123 (talk) 16:03, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
Rename
I think we should change the title to 'First passage time' or 'First passage process' 149.171.172.161 (talk) 05:42, 21 October 2014 (UTC)
- There is an article called hitting time, which is more mathematical. This article seems to be about simplified models of hitting time, rather than mathematically precise derivations and theorems. 67.198.37.16 (talk) 05:22, 7 May 2025 (UTC)
