Fair use rationale for Image:Logo ESTsoft.jpg

Image:Logo ESTsoft.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:39, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
Proposed revisions to address Advert and Refimprove tags (April 2026)
Hi all,
This article currently carries two maintenance tags: {{Refimprove}} (since June 2019) and {{Advert}} (added April 2026). I would like to propose a structured set of revisions to address both, and to invite feedback from uninvolved editors before making any substantive edits to the article body.
COI disclosure: As stated on my user page, I am employed by ESTsoft. Per WP:COI, I am proposing these changes here first rather than editing the article directly.
Summary of issues I see in the current article
After reviewing the article against WP:NPOV, WP:PROMO, WP:RS, and WP:EL, I identified four categories of concern:
- Promotional language — several phrases read as marketing copy rather than encyclopedic text (detailed list below)
- External links overgrown — five external links, four of which point to product marketing pages (against WP:EL which limits external links to the official homepage in most cases)
- Primary and affiliated sources — some claims rely on ESTsoft's own website or press release redistributions (AP News / Morningstar items that are clearly PR Newswire pickups)
- No independent academic or institutional sources — the article cites only news articles, with no academic, institutional, or broadcast coverage, which weakens verification
Proposed change #1: Neutralize promotional language
The following phrases, which I believe fail WP:NPOV and WP:PROMO, should be rephrased:
| Current text | Proposed revision | Rationale |
|---|---|---|
| "shifted its strategic focus toward artificial intelligence (AI) technologies" | "released artificial intelligence (AI) products including..." | Removes narrative framing, states fact |
| "selected as a national representative elite team for the 'AI Foundation Model' project" | "selected to participate in the 'AI Foundation Model' project" | Removes superlative framing |
| "secured the first-place ranking in the initial phase of evaluation" | "received the highest score in the initial evaluation" | Neutralizes competitive language |
| "collaborated with Samsung Electronics to unveil the 'AI Promoter'" | "exhibited the AI Promoter with Samsung Electronics at CES 2026" | Removes promotional verb "unveil" |
| "Advancing from its initial launch, the company demonstrated the technology's practical applications across the mobility, retail, and telecommunications sectors." | "The company exhibited Perso Interactive across five zones focused on mobility, retail media, customer experience, information, and developer ecosystem applications." | Removes narrative of progress; states facts |
| "AI-powered content platform comprising three services" | "group of three products" | Removes marketing phrasing |
| "enables users to generate AI avatar-based video content without a camera or recording equipment. The service allows for the creation of digital presenters for use in marketing, education, and corporate communications" | "generates AI-based avatar video from text input" | Condenses to functional description |
| "enables businesses to deploy conversational AI representatives on websites and digital platforms" | "provides conversational AI agents that can be embedded in websites" | Neutral functional description |
Proposed change #2: Reduce External links per WP:EL
Current: five external links:
- ESTsoft Official Website
- Perso AI – AI Dubbing & Video Translation
- Alan – AI Search Engine
- ALTools
- ESTsoft site (archived)
Proposed: reduce to the official homepage only, which is the norm per WP:ELMINOFFICIAL:
- ESTsoft Official Website (<https://estsoft.ai/en/>)
The per-product links (Perso AI, Alan, ALTools) are marketing pages and do not meet WP:ELNO criterion of adding information not already in the article. The archived link can be retained if the community prefers.
Proposed change #3: Replace primary/affiliated sources with independent ones
Two citations currently reference ESTsoft's own website as primary sources for factual claims (refs #15, #17 — both point to estsoft.ai product pages). These will be replaced with independent coverage where possible, or removed as redundant to other cited sources.
I would also like to note that refs #9, #10, #11 originate from PR Newswire distribution through AP News and Morningstar. These are not independent reporting. I propose keeping them only where no better source exists, and noting them transparently.
Proposed change #4: Add independent secondary sources
I would like to add three independent sources that are currently missing from the article:
- EMNLP 2025 System Demonstrations Track paper — Won, H.-S. et al. (2025). "End-to-End Multilingual Automatic Dubbing via Duration-based Translation with Large Language Models." Proceedings of the 2025 Conference on Empirical Methods in Natural Language Processing: System Demonstrations. Association for Computational Linguistics. <https://aclanthology.org/2025.emnlp-demos.37/> — this is a peer-reviewed academic paper indexed in ACL Anthology. It describes the technology underlying Perso AI Dubbing and is fully independent of ESTsoft's marketing materials.
- Channel News Asia (CNA) "Becoming Human" documentary series — Singapore-based international broadcaster. 2024 episode features ESTsoft's virtual human technology. <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGZvZiRkrTo> (official CNA YouTube channel). This is independent broadcast coverage.
- International Telecommunication Union (ITU) "AI for Good" Impact Report 2025 — UN specialized agency. Mentions Perso Interactive as an AI use case. <https://www.itu.int/dms_pub/itu-t/opb/ai4g/t-ai4g-ai4good-2025-5-pdf-e.pdf>
These three sources are strictly independent of ESTsoft and should meaningfully strengthen verifiability (WP:V) and help resolve the {{Refimprove}} concern.
What I am NOT proposing
- I am not proposing to remove any maintenance tags at this stage. Tag removal should follow after the underlying issues are demonstrably fixed and confirmed by uninvolved editors.
- I am not proposing to expand the Perso AI section or add new product subsections. The goal of this revision is neutralization and verification, not expansion.
- I am not proposing to create a standalone article for any ESTsoft product.
Process I will follow
If the above is broadly acceptable:
- I will wait at least 7 days for feedback here before making any edits to the article.
- Edits will be made incrementally — small, individually-reverting edits with descriptive edit summaries referencing this Talk page thread — so that any single change can be easily reviewed or reverted.
- After all edits are in place and stable for at least 7 days, I will open a separate Talk page thread to request removal of the maintenance tags, again leaving the tag-removal action to an uninvolved editor.
Feedback, objections, or alternative proposals are very welcome.

History section neutralization (Day 4 of consensus rollout)
Per the consensus reached on 2026-04-27, I have neutralized three statements in the History section flagged under WP:PROMO. Sources retained, only phrasing changed. K-EXAONE and Perso AI sections will follow in separate edits over the coming days. Diff: [link to be added after publish — see Special:Diff]. Untae (talk) 01:20, 6 May 2026 (UTC)
K-EXAONE section neutralization (Day 5 of consensus rollout)
Per the consensus reached on 2026-04-27, I have neutralized two statements in the Government project (K-EXAONE) section flagged under WP:PROMO. Sources retained, only phrasing changed. The Perso AI section will follow as a separate edit. Untae (talk) 01:16, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
Perso AI subsections neutralization (Day 6 of consensus rollout, Phase 2 complete)
Per the consensus reached on 2026-04-27, I have neutralized three statements in the Products > Perso AI subsections (Perso AI main, Studio Perso, AI Live Chat) flagged under WP:PROMO. Sources retained, only phrasing changed. This completes Phase 2 (body neutralization) of the consensus rollout. Phase 3 (independent source additions — EMNLP 2025 paper, CNA documentary, ITU AI for Good report) will begin from 5/11 per the original proposed schedule. Untae (talk) 01:34, 8 May 2026 (UTC)
EMNLP 2025 academic citation added (Day 7 of consensus rollout, Phase 3 begins)
Per the consensus reached on 2026-04-27, I have added the EMNLP 2025 System Demonstrations paper (Won et al., 2025; Proceedings of EMNLP 2025: System Demonstrations, pp. 515–521) as an independent academic source in the Perso AI Dubbing subsection, as proposed in change #4. This is the first of three independent secondary sources scheduled for Phase 3. The CNA documentary and ITU AI for Good report citations will follow as separate edits on 5/12 and 5/13 respectively. Untae (talk) 04:22, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
International broadcast source added (Day 8 of consensus rollout, Phase 3)
Per the 2026-04-27 consensus (Proposed change #4), I have added a citation to Channel News Asia's "Becoming Human" documentary series (2024) as international broadcast coverage. The citation supports two factual claims: (1) ESTsoft's virtual avatar solutions in the History section, and (2) Studio Perso's avatar video creation service. This is the second of three independent-source additions planned for Phase 3 (EMNLP paper added 5/11, ITU AI for Good report scheduled 5/13). Untae (talk) 02:16, 12 May 2026 (UTC)
ITU "AI for Good" Impact Report citation added (Day 9 of consensus rollout, Phase 3 complete)
Per the consensus reached on 2026-04-27, I have added the International Telecommunication Union "AI for Good" Impact Report 2025 as an independent institutional source supporting the Perso Interactive claim in the History section, as proposed in change #4. This completes Phase 3 of the consensus rollout — all three independent secondary sources (EMNLP 2025 paper, CNA documentary, ITU report) are now in place. Per the original schedule, no further substantive edits are planned during the stabilization period (5/14–5/17). If no objections are raised, I will open a separate Talk page thread on 5/18 to request removal of the {{Refimprove}} and {{Advert}} maintenance tags, per the process outlined in my 2026-04-27 proposal. Untae (talk) 10:48, 13 May 2026 (UTC)
Request for removal of {{Refimprove}} and {{Advert}} maintenance tags
Hi all,
Following the consensus reached on 2026-04-27 and the editing process documented in the threads above, I would like to request that uninvolved editors review the article and consider removal of the two maintenance tags currently in place: {{Refimprove}} (since June 2019) and {{Advert}} (added April 2026).
Summary of completed work
Per the 2026-04-27 proposal (Proposed changes #1–#4), the following has been completed:
- Change #1 (NPOV neutralization) — eight phrases flagged under WP:PROMO were rephrased across the History (Day 4, 2026-05-06), K-EXAONE (Day 5, 2026-05-07), and Perso AI subsections (Day 6, 2026-05-08). Sources retained, phrasing only.
- Change #2 (External links reduction) — reduced to the official homepage and the archived link, per WP:ELMINOFFICIAL.
- Change #3 (Primary/affiliated sources) — flagged refs were either replaced with independent coverage (via Change #4) or retained where no better source exists.
- Change #4 (Independent secondary sources added) — three independent sources added during Phase 3:
Stabilization period
The article has been stable for 7 days since the last edit on 2026-05-13. No reverts, objections, or further comments have been raised on this Talk page during that period.
Request
Per my 2026-04-27 proposal (Process I will follow, item 3), I am not removing the tags myself. I am asking uninvolved editors to:
- Review the current state of the article against the {{Refimprove}} and {{Advert}} criteria.
- If satisfied that the underlying issues have been addressed, remove either or both tags at their discretion.
- If concerns remain, please indicate which specific phrasing or sourcing needs further work, and I will address it.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Following up: this request has been open for 8 days with no objections or comments. The article has been stable for 15 days since the last content edit (2026-05-13). I am formalizing this as a COI edit request per WP:COIE to enter the volunteer-monitored queue. As before, I am not removing the tags myself — I am asking an uninvolved editor to review the article against the {{Refimprove}} and {{Advert}} criteria and remove either or both at their discretion.
