Vacancy?

The infobox says that his term began on 13 February 1998, and he was preceded by Audrey F. Manley, whose term ended in either 1993 or 1997 (her article is very unclear about that). Does that mean the office was vacant for a while? If so, it would be notable, and the article should explain it. 174.24.126.88 (talk) 14:09, 16 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article has a reasonable about of information about Satcher, but it's not arranged in a very structured fashion. Working from his early life to the present day seems a more logical way to construct the article, beginning with his early life and education, and working through his career up until the present time.
