My god, what a screed. 18.173.1.42 15:36, 10 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

--Ixitixel 11:43, 20 January 2006 (UTC) Really, isn't it in mankind's best interests NOT to recognise prog rock? I'd sure hate it if aliens stopped thinking there was intelligent life on this planet.[reply]

CREEM

The Creem article does not include Marsh as a co-founder. Can anyone provide evidence one way or another? Verne Equinox 03:04, 27 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's accurate as it stands. You can contact me at [email protected], if you want help with the parts that are iffy (Hall of Fame thing--I have much less importance there than commonly imagined, and I've written a few times about being on the nominating committee, and I'm a Kiss antagonist (although I'm also a Grateful Dead fan and they're in, which ought to tell the paranoid Ace Frehley fan [?] who wrote my entry something, IMO). Disambiguation Concerns

When doing a Search on Wikipedia for "David Marsh", this disambiguation page is returned:

David Marsh

However, when doing a Search on Wikipedia for "Dave Marsh", it directs to this page here.

I propose that the title of this page be renamed to something like "Dave Marsh (Music Critic)" or "Dave Marsh (Rock Critic)" to help differentiate it from the other Dave and David Marshes out there. Then, the page for "Dave Marsh" I feel should be a redirect page that goes to the David Marsh disambiguation page.

I think that would be fair to the other Daves and Davids.

Appreciation of musicians

There's a whole section titled "Derision of musicians" - eight or so paragraphs showing Marsh's disdain for a number of popular musicians. It wouldn't be hard to come up with eight or so paragraphs to show his appreciation for quite a few other musicians (even besides Springsteen). I think that would be of equal value in an encyclopedic entry. PatConolly (talk) 01:01, 11 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

But he's not known for appreciation. 98.96.105.193 (talk) 03:25, 12 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

SiriusXM

I am pretty sure Marsh is not doing Kick Out The Jams anymore. His last FB post about Kick Out The Jams was 2023 and I gave us tuning in to try to listen to it because it was never on. My SiriusXM membership has since expired (well, failed to renew).

Nor do I think he is doing anything on SiriusXM anymore. I can find no reference to him in any public SiriusXM schedules or their search function.

Someone with an active SiriusXM subscription may wish to investigate.

(I almost wonder if he is still alive or what his health is.) Paradoox (talk) 01:09, 26 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]
