Means something different in Data Analytics.
I can't help but point out that this article's focus on sampling real-world data to make it computer-readable is not the same as what Data Acquisition refers to in data analytics: The act of collecting data to prepare for an analytical project.
In Data analytics, data is often acquired from databases or data warehouses, in which case this article would more seem to refer to the actual converting of raw data to be stored in those databases, not retrieving the data from them.
