Talk:DataOps

Untitled

This is a term of art in analytics. see further references in main article. I'd like to propose that the article remain independent from DevOps. While DataOps incorporates DevOps it is not simply DevOps applied to Data Analytics. It also borrows methods from Agile development and lean manufacturing. The article has several issues at present:

Rectifying all of these issues will not leave much of an article left, hence merging into DevOps could be a very valid solution to this article. Ennui93 (talk) 15:03, 4 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Seems like a promotional article

This article is link heavy to "DataKitchen" and appears overly promotional. I suggest removing this section in IMPLEMENTATION: DataKitchen has published seven steps to implement DataOps which pertain to the optimization of workflow processes and the orchestration of the data analytics pipeline: — Preceding unsigned comment added by Evanthomas1 (talkcontribs) 00:32, 27 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I recommend removing the DataOps Manifesto page referenced in this article. It has a lead capture form at the bottom offering a newsletter from Data Kitchen a vendor. They seem to own this page and use it to generate sales leads.Reblodeau (talk) 23:20, 11 July 2018 (UTC)rebilodeau[reply]

Noting merge template removal

Noting that the Feb 2017 AfD-M outcome template was removed with this edit, with no edit summary or discussion; the outcome hence stands. Klbrain (talk) 20:32, 8 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]
