Herobrine

I feel like Herobrine fits into the creepypasta category, and he is certainly notable. Should he be mentioned on the page? MonkeyEditsTM (talk) 19:44, 10 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

he's more like a Minecraft CreepyPasta so that's probably why it's not on there. Kirbycute (talk) 07:42, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
i recon he should cause that thing is definitely a creepypasta 2403:4800:3240:500:9EC8:E9FF:FE12:445F (talk) 10:10, 26 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The redirect Trollpasta has been listed at redirects for discussion to determine whether its use and function meets the redirect guidelines. Readers of this page are welcome to comment on this redirect at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2025 July 4 § Trollpasta until a consensus is reached. 🇺🇸Thegoofhere🇺🇸 (talk) 00:12, 4 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

What do you think about adding a mention of 'Trollpasta' into this article rather than deleting the redirect? Trollpasta is a notable genre of creepy pasta that is worthy of being included in the article. I can add it in myself but since you've nominated an RfD I wanted to ask for your thoughts first. Katiedevi (talk) 09:58, 4 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Well we need a source, what do you recommend? 🇺🇸Thegoofhere🇺🇸 (talk) 14:42, 4 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Slenderman and his Crew

Really though why can't these folk get more recognition. I mean, we all know who they are just let them on. 73.6.42.133 (talk) 23:31, 4 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Should Momo be considered creeypasta an added in real life belief

It should probably be a short summary and link to the main article but regardless I feel it should be mentioned Witchysophie (talk) 13:45, 10 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Definition original research?

"chain emails of the 1990s, which disseminated hoaxes and urban legends, for example, by promising a terrible fate for users who did not pass them along" - there were already chain letters by snail-mail on paper in the 1970s, as warned about on TV show "Blue Peter", where children were warned not to past them on and to ignore the threats listed therein for people who did not. Such things have been around much longer than the mainstream use of the internet. ~2026-26586-83 (talk) 01:15, 2 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Can there be a section about ritual CreepyPastas? They are also a popular genre within the community, some popular examples include The Midnight Game, One Man Hide and Seek (Hitori Kakurenbo), The Three Kings and The Elevator Game.[1] [2] I am aware that some of these could possibly fall into folklore rather than CreepyPastas, such as Bloody Mary, and if some of my suggestions are considered to fall within this then consider adding those to their appropriate pages.

I have already added The Midnight Game to the list of CreepyPastas page too. Better85 (talk) 00:12, 18 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want made. Please detail the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. You'll want to write your proposed addition out first, before opening an edit request. Umby 🌕🐶 (talk) 00:15, 18 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
In the Genres section of this page, I want the two currently existing genres to have a third be implemented alongside them; that of which are ritual CreepyPastas. See "CreepyPasta is how the internet learns our fears" from AEON ("This series is ‘ritual’ creepypasta, a plotless subgenre that tells the reader how to summon or keep away a certain creature, or find a particular artefact."), this source also covers "The Holders" series which is yet another popular example of ritual CreepyPastas, also see The CreepyPasta Wiki ("Pastas about rituals the reader may undergo in order to gain some sort of power or special object. Usually, failure to complete these rituals ends in death or some fate even worse."). You can use the examples previously provided by myself.
Suggested wording with citations:
Ritual CreepyPastas relay instructions, steps or laundry lists of specific items needed that result in the summoning or reception of a demonic entity, anomalous artifact or alternative dimension brought upon the reader. [3] Better85 (talk) 01:27, 18 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want made. The sources you've provided do not meet our requirements because they are user generated or self published, see WP:BLOG and WP:UGC. ScrubbedFalcon (talk) 23:50, 24 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
