Talk:Circular prime

Wording in references implies change made just now is correct

Logically, a circular prime is not limited to the smallest of a collection of related primes, and from what I read of the listed references, though they may be a little confusing for somebody either reading carelessly or not fully fluent in English, the common and proper definition of circular prime is to include numbers like 73 and not just 37.Julzes (talk) 04:14, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Smallest in the circle

Is this article correct? Surely the smallest in the 'circle' for 199933 should be 133999, but this isn't circular, is it, as 339919 is divisible by 37? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mgrazebrook (talkcontribs) 12:26, 9 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Mgrazebrook: The primes for 199933 are: 199933, 999331, 993319, 933199, 331999, 319993. The digits must be in the same order, except the starting point. You have to change the order to get 133999. You may be thinking of a permutable prime, or maybe you think the circle can be read both forwards and backwards. It's only forwards. PrimeHunter (talk) 13:13, 9 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
