Talk:Canonical mapping

I don't see what this is trying to talk about. It's either the "canonical" map from S to S / R, in which case the subscript X in the definition is confusing, or it's about choosing canonical representives from the equivalnce classes; i.e., a constructive choice function on the set of equivalence clases.
