Error in K Matrix
There is an error in the definition of the K matrix as it should include a fourth column of zeros to be multipliable with the rototranslation matrix [R T]. Otherwise matrix dimensions do not allow for such a multiplication, thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:E11:1406:A380:880E:4D6C:EE3E:DE9E (talk) 01:22, 23 October 2025 (UTC)
Zhang's method
Hi, I'm in the process of writing up the math behind Zhang's camera calibration. It's a bit messy and incomplete right now, as I figure out how to best word everything for Wikipedia... kostmo (talk) 06:51, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
Ollydbg (talk) 15:36, 18 December 2008 (UTC)HI,I also interest in writing the Zhang's camera calibration method. But it is difficult, because we should first introduce absolute conic and other theories. And it use some algorithm to optimize it's parameters.

A correction =
The zangs method as given in 'Multiple view Geometry ' Hartley and zizzerman sets the constraints as (h1)'*/omega*h2 = 0 and (h1)'*/omega*h1 = (h2)'*/omega*h2.
But its not given here as such.
I just started editing , so i want to first be sure that iam sure — Preceding unsigned comment added by Knowledgeis4all (talk • contribs) 17:38, 16 April 2012 (UTC)
Resection vs calibration
There is difference between the two terms. Calibration can be done with resection or with other methods. Resection accomplish calibration via a single image of a 3D object, i.e., a set of 2D-3D correspondences in a single image. In this respects, DLT is a resection method (and a calibration one) but Zhang's method it is not a resection (but it does calibration).
BTW, Zhang's methos should be more correctly attributed also to Sturm and Maybank, and therefore called "Sturm-Maybank-Zhang's method".
