Ecclesial community

There could perhaps be an article on the concept of ecclesial community, which is a term dating from the period of the Second Vatican Council that describes any type of Christian community, especially those that are not organized centrally or that do not have sufficient ministers. Accordingly, it can refer to Protestant communities to which the Council refuses to attribute the title of Church, given that these communities lack a proper apostolic succession and a sacrifical priesthood, elements that are regarded as essential chracteristics of the institutional Church. Clarity

I would like to help improve this article, but I'm having difficulty understanding the concept of a "Basic ecclesial community". Does it describe certain units within the Roman Catholic Church, or within other faith communities? I working on the stub I mentioned above for a similarly named topic "ecclesial community" used by the Roman Catholic Church to describe Protestant Churches. I would like to make sure that these are distinct topics before I proceed to develop a second article. Thanks! --Mkow88 (talk) 05:13, 9 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey all, I just added a new section detailing the spread of Base communities throughout Mexico, as well as some more specifics about Base communities within a few states in Mexico. I also added some information about the organization of Base communities in the current day. Please let me know what you think, and if further clarification is needed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Studentbreese (talkcontribs) 19:28, 3 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
