Talk:Arthur Treacher

Almost came to California

I heard Merv Griffin tell the story that for several month in California, by February 1971 he finally talked Arthur Treacher into moving to Los Angeles to join the show. Then on February 9, 1971, Treacher called Merv and said "I'm not coming".  Randall Bart   Talk  22:10, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Radio career

Treacher also appeared on network radio in 1944, including The Jack Carson Show on CBS Radio (produced in Hollywood). ~~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 148.159.128.51 (talk) 18:16, 16 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Real name

According to his 1975 NYT obit his real name is "Arthur Veary". [1] This contradicts statements in the article about his father's name being Treacher. Is the NYT wrong? -- GreenC 15:03, 22 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
