Talk:Acoustic camera

untitled

This page was advertising for some acoustic camera vendor (please see the references on the old page, and the number of links made to some vendor page). I tried to clarify the concept of acoustic camera as well as to introduce reference papers of the domain.

To my mind, the 2D/3D section should be removed because it is misleading (not really 3D localization of sound source, but more reprojection on a 3D model is described) and maybe untrue. I put it in a subsection called reprojection, but I see it as non-essential.

Application part was a sale pitch -> removed some commercial sentences (such as the fact that a non expert can do a lot of thing with an acoustic camera in quality) and added some references to scientific papers

References were made to a FPGA implementation of acoustic imaging, but this is of minor importance to my mind (I let it at the end though).

I regrouped some vendor links at the bottom of the page in alphabetical order.

I will try to add some content in challenge

Lead section

I tried to reword some of the lead section to be more correct and make more sense. However, I am not sure if I did so correctly or if my changes removed or altered important meanings. More generally, the lead section likely requires a little attention from someone more knowledgeable about the subject. a CLoG? | unCLoG 20:25, 9 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
