Now Bandegan was renowned for its Zorationism and Jewish population along with traditional and contemporary medicine in the area until the start of modernization of medicine in Iran after 1900s.[citation needed]

Population
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 2,933 in 766 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 2,704 people in 821 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 2,410 people in 823 households.[2]
