Maphra (stylized as MAPHRA) is a singer of metal and pop music. A contralto, she uses both clean and harsh vocals. She is best known for her cover version of "Doomed" by Bring Me the Horizon.[1] She is represented by United Talent Agency.[2] As of May 2026 her identity has not been officially confirmed.[3]

History

Maphra's earliest published music was a cover of "Lovely" by Billie Eilish and Khalid, released online in 2025.

Maphra had her breakthrough with a YouTube video where she performed the song "Doomed" by Bring Me the Horizon.[4] Her version achieved more than 24 million views on YouTube and attracted attention from fellow YouTubers such as The Charismatic Voice and Anthony Vincent. It ranked first or second on the Billboard Hot Hard Rock Songs chart for nine consecutive weeks, which is unusual for a cover of a rock song.[5][6][4] Her interpretation of "Circle With Me" by Spiritbox also charted.[7]

After Maphra published a cover of "Silence" by The Plot in You, the band's lead singer Landon Tewers praised her singing skills, commenting that even he could not reach the high notes as well as Maphra.[1]

Her live debut followed in May 2026 at Welcome to Rockville, where she performed with the band Ice Nine Kills the first live rendition of their song "Twisting The Knife". Maphra sang the parts that were vocalized by Mckenna Grace in the song's studio version.[8] A week later, Maphra performed at Sonic Temple together with Bring Me the Horizon, presenting "Doomed" during the encore.[5]

As of June 2026 her YouTube channel had nearly 53 million views in total.[9] Her cover version of "Doomed" was streamed more than 19 million times on Spotify.[5]
