Purpose of use

Illustration of the artist's work. Comic books and comics strips are visual media, and an illustrations of a comics artist's work is critical to understanding the subject of this article, a comic-book and comic-strip artist. The article contains only two examples of the artist's work, one from a comic book, one from a comic strip. Moreover, the two images illustrate the evolution of the artist's work, from the relative simplicity of the comic strip to the more baroque look of the comic-book.
