Welcome to the sandbox for the Event namespace! This is not a real event. This page exists to provide a convenient pseudo-namespace for testing the event registration feature, which can only be used on pages in the Event namespace.

Events live inside the Event namespace, with Event: prefix. Once the page exists, e.g Event:Sandbox/Example/An Event only the page creator with Wikipedia:Event coordinator permission can register/enable the events.

Example events

Below are two test events. Any user can see and register for them, but only users with eventcoordinator permission can register/enable them.

Only users with WP:EVENTCOORDINATOR permission on English Wikipedia will be able to create test events. To do so, please create a subpage of this page in the following format:

Event:Sandbox/Your_User_Name/Bridging Climate Literacy Gaps through Wikimedia projects in Ogoni Land Rivers

You will then see "Register button" and be able to test event registration in the subpage you just created. Users without the permission will simply see a plain wiki page.
