Xiinjii
Lavon Joel Gossom v born June 4th 2004 is a Detroit-born alternative melodic artist blending raw emotion with street intensity. Raised in the heart of the Motor City, his sound reflects both vulnerability and grit — melodic pain layered over hard truths.
- Drawing inspiration from classic bands like Nirvana[1], Sublime, Radiohead[2], and Audioslave[3], Xiinjii channels the rebellious energy and atmospheric depth of alternative rock. He blends that foundation with the emotionally charged melodies and genre-bending flows of Trippie Redd[4], Juice WRLD, Lil Peep, XXXTENTACION, and Mac Miller.
Growing up in Detroit gave Xiinjii a dual perspective — introspective and melodic on one side, hardened and unapologetic on the other. There’s a gangster edge beneath the vulnerability. His music reflects survival, loyalty, loss, ambition, and the internal war between emotion and environment.
The passing of several modern melodic pioneers deeply impacted him, inspiring Xiinjii to create music that speaks openly about pain, mental battles, love, street reality, and transformation. His artistry lives at the intersection of grunge, emo-rap, alternative rock, and melodic trap — where distorted guitars meet 808s, and haunting hooks carry stories rooted in real-life experience.
Xiinjii doesn’t just make music for a vibe — he makes it for the misunderstood, the resilient, and the ones balancing sensitivity with strength.[5]
