Womontown was an intentional community in Kansas City, Missouri founded by and for lesbians. Womontown was most active from 1990-1995, with residents arriving from across the U. S. to live there. At its height, Womontown had 80 residents. [1]
In 2022, Kansas City PBS premiered a documentary produced by Sandy Woodson which focuses on oral histories of Womontown and its co-founders Andrea Nedelsky and Maryann Hopper. [2]
