VCT Lock In (stylized as VCT LOCK//IN) was a global Valorant tournament organized by publisher Riot Games to start the 2023 Valorant Champions Tour (VCT). The tournament was hosted from 13 February to 4 March 2023 at Ginásio do Ibirapuera in São Paulo, Brazil. Since the tournament marked the start of the franchised era of the VCT, all 30 partner teams were invited to compete alongside two invited teams from China.

Teams

The tournament featured all 30 VCT partner teams from the three International Leagues (Americas, EMEA, and Pacific) in addition to two invited teams from China for a total of 32 teams.

Venue

Format

The entire tournament is single-elimination, with the 32 teams split into two brackets of 16 teams: the Alpha Bracket and Omega Bracket. Every match until the third round was best-of-three, while the semifinals and finals featured best-of-five matches. The region of the tournament champions would be granted an additional slot at Valorant Masters Tokyo 2023.
