Triple Whale is an American technology company that develops analytics and attribution software for e-commerce businesses. The company is headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, United States.
History
Triple Whale was founded in 2021 by AJ Orbach, Maxx Blank, and Ivan Chernykh. According to TechCrunch, Orbach and Blank met as entrepreneurs in Jerusalem and previously operated Shopify-based brands, with Chernykh later joining as technical co-founder.[1]
In 2022, the company raised a $24 million Series A funding round led by Elephant, following a $2.7 million seed round led by NFX.[1]
In February 2023, Triple Whale raised a $25 million Series B round led by NFX and Elephant, with strategic participation from Shopify.[2]
In 2022, Business Insider reported that Shopify merchants using Triple Whale’s analytics platform had doubled their TikTok advertising spend, citing data from the company.[3]
In January 2026, Triple Whale acquired Anteater, an analytics company.[4]
