Equipment & Endorsements:

  • Guitars: Ben and Alex use a mix of guitars from Caparison, Reiver, and Schecter, but have been seen playing Kiesel, Strandberg, NK and other modern metal guitar brands. The band utilises a Kemper PowerRack and Mooer GE300 for their live tones, with album sounds consisting of re-amp'ed DI's and live recorded takes from an ENGL Screamer 50, and Zilla Cabinets. Most of their debut album was tracked using a Caparison Dellinger Pro-fr 7 String. The guitars are all 7 string, and basses are 5 strings, which are all tuned up a semi-tone (F standard), with a dropped low string (A#), contributing to their unique sound.
  • Bass: Ray uses Marcus Miller basses, but has been seen playing RedSub Colliseum FF5 / G4M 972 FF5 basses in previous live appearances. The bass tone largely consists of a Darkglass B7K.
  • Drums: Aarron plays a Mapex Saturn 5 Piece Kit, with a mixture of Zildjian, and Myra cymbals. DW5000 series pedals. Aarron also has a custom kick drum cover with the Theseus logo made by Canadian cover company - Drumsknz.
  • Backline: The band performs without any cabinets on stage, utilising a backing and click track which allows the band to stay in sync with pre-recorded samples, synth, guitar and vocal layers which help to create the bands sound live. All guitar and bass tones are created using ditigal gear, which is patched through a MacBook Pro using Reaper, an audio interface, and splitter with loom to get the sound from the stage to the audience via the PA system. This stripped back approach to live equipment reduces the bands dependance on less reliable analogue equipment, and ensures a high quality sound from venue to venue.
