The Real Brokerage Inc. (NASDAQ: REAX) is a technology-enabled real estate brokerage headquartered in Miami, Florida. Founded in 2014, it operates a cloud-based platform serving agents across the United States and Canada.
History
The Real Brokerage was founded on June 26, 2014, by Tamir Poleg, Yuval Niv, and Gal Weiss. The company's shares began trading on the TSX Venture Exchange before uplisting to the Nasdaq on June 15, 2021[2] under the ticker symbol REAX.
The company expanded rapidly, ending 2024 with 24,140 agents—a 77% year-over-year increase[3]—and surpassing the 25,000-agent mark in January 2025.[4] By September 2025, the company had surpassed 30,000 agents.[5] Full-year 2024 revenue reached $1.26 billion, an increase of approximately 83% over 2023.[1][6]
In April 2026, The Real Brokerage announced a definitive agreement to acquire RE/MAX Holdings, Inc. in a transaction implying an enterprise value of approximately $880 million. The combined entity, to be named Real REMAX Group, is expected to serve more than 180,000 agents across more than 120 countries. The transaction is subject to regulatory and shareholder approvals and is expected to close in the second half of 2026.[7]
Technology
The Real Brokerage operates reZEN, a proprietary transaction management platform,[8] and Real Wallet, a fintech product offering financial services including business checking accounts and lines of credit to agents.[9]
