theAnalysis.news was founded in 2019 by journalist and filmmaker Paul Jay and journalist Sharmini Peries following their departure from The Real News Network[1]. The founders established the platform to continue producing independent journalism focused on structural analysis of power, economics, and class relations outside corporate media frameworks.[2]
