Please add references that meet these criteria. If none exist, the subject is not yet suitable for Wikipedia. It is often easier to prove the notability of an album or artist than an individual song or band member. If the subject is not yet notable, consider improving a relevant existing article instead. This draft's references do not show that the person meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion for people. Comment: Community and college newspapers can be referenced for information about the subject, but aren't counted towards establishing notability. Nil🥝 03:20, 6 October 2025 (UTC)
Comment: Well done on creating the draft, and it may potentially meet the relevant requirements (including WP:GNG, WP:ANYBIO, WP:NCORP) but presently it is not clear that it does. Firstly, this draft has previously been declined three times, following each time you removed the 'draft declined' notification: do NOT remove these notifications, they are a record of the page history and are highly relevant to reviewers of the draft. As other reviewers have noted, Wikipedia's basic requirement for entry is that the subject is notable. Essentially subjects are presumed notable if they have received significant coverage in multiple published secondary sources that are reliable, intellectually independent of each other, and independent of the subject. To properly create such a draft page, please see the articles ‘Your First Article’, ‘Referencing for Beginners’ and ‘Easier Referencing for Beginners’. In short, "notability" requires reliable sources about the subject, rather than by the subject. The image used likely breaches copyright, which Wikipedia takes seriously, so should be removed unless clear evidence of its legal use is provided. If it is indeed the draft's author's "Own work" then the author clearly knows the subject and has a conflict of interest that must be declared (see details below). Please note that many of the references would appear to be from sources that are NOT considered reliable for establishing notability and should be removed (including blogs, company websites, press releases, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Spotify etc). Additionally, the draft tends to read too much like a promotional CV, which Wikipedia is not; and contains prose that is not of a standard appropriate for an encyclopaedia (also see WP:PEACOCK). Also, if you have any connection to the subject, including being the subject (see WP:AUTOBIO) or being paid, you have a conflict of interest that you must declare on your Talk page (to see instructions on how to do this please click the link). Please familiarise yourself with these pages before amending the draft. If you feel you can meet these requirements, then please make the necessary amendments before resubmitting the page. It would help our volunteer reviewers by identifying, on the draft's talk page, the WP:THREE best sources that establish notability of the subject. It would also be helpful if you could please identify with specificity, exactly which criteria you believe the page meets (eg "I think the page now meets WP:ANYBIO criteria #3, because XXXXX"). Once you have implemented these suggestions, you may also wish to leave a note for me on my talk page and I would be happy to reassess. Cabrils (talk) 22:17, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
Comment: Please restore the various declines you have gotten from past article reviewers, even if they don't apply to the current revision. LR.127 (talk) 13:13, 25 June 2025 (UTC)
Comment: Dubois formatting of sources that are mostly dead links plus other tells, plus gptzero agrees - pure LLM/AI slop KylieTastic (talk) 20:09, 19 June 2025 (UTC)

Tanner James is a Canadian folk musician and filmmaker based in Alberta. He was previously a member of the Calgary indie band The Nix Dicksons and later pursued a solo career focused on storytelling through music and film.
Career
James was a founding member of The Nix Dicksons, a Calgary-based band active from 2008 to 2013. The group released *The Red Fox* in 2011, which was reviewed by Earshot and described as “campus and community radio friendly.”[1] They were also featured in the CITR Discorder music magazine.[2]
After the group disbanded, James pursued a solo folk music career. His songwriting often focuses on themes of prairie life and rural Alberta. In 2017, he toured across British Columbia and Alberta, an event promoted as the “Great North Tour” by Exclaim! Magazine.[3] In an interview with the *Taber Times*, he discussed his return to small-town Alberta and the influence of those experiences on his music.[4]
Film
James is also active as an independent filmmaker. His 2022 mockumentary *Wild Bill* was featured by Lethbridge Campus Media, which described it as a "guerilla film with a shoestring budget" portraying a different side of Alberta life.[5]
