History

Tagvenue was founded in 2015 in London by Artur Stepaniak and Maksim Kondratjuks, who met as students at Lancaster University.[businesscloud] The company launched as an online marketplace allowing event organisers to search and enquire about venues across categories including pubs, restaurants, cafes, churches, and traditional event spaces.[businesscloud]

By August 2019, the company reported a team of more than 30 employees and over 7,000 event spaces listed across the United Kingdom and Australia. That month, Tagvenue expanded its marketplace into seven new cities — Bradford, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Leeds in the United Kingdom, and Brisbane and Perth in Australia, adding to existing operations in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Sydney, and Melbourne.[businesscloud]

By December 2025, trade press reported that the platform served more than one million planners monthly and listed approximately 18,000 venues.[bizbash]

Platform

Tagvenue operates a two-sided marketplace: event organisers search and enquire about venues at no cost, while venues list their spaces and respond to booking enquiries. The platform offers filtering by location, capacity, and price, multi-language support, and an international venue network spanning hotels, conference rooms, and unique event spaces.[travelandtour][businesscloud]

In March 2026, Travel And Tour World named Tagvenue among the top five venue booking platforms for the 2026 season, describing the company as "a major player in the venue booking space" and noting adoption among international users in Germany and France booking venues in the United Kingdom.[travelandtour]

Tagvenue PRO

In December 2025, Tagvenue launched Tagvenue PRO, described in trade press as an AI-powered venue management platform aimed at venue operators.[bizbash] According to BizBash, the product includes centralised communication tools, calendar synchronisation, automated contract generation, Stripe payment processing, and a performance dashboard tracking lead sources and conversion rates.[bizbash]

Market presence

Tagvenue's coverage has expanded geographically since its 2015 launch. Reported milestones include UK and Australian operations by 2019,[businesscloud] expansion into Singapore, Ireland, and Canada by 2021, and a position among the leading international booking platforms for the 2026 events season.[travelandtour]
