The platform evaluates a variety of SEO factors, including website performance, content quality, link structure, and overall usability, generating reports that highlight areas for improvement.

Over time, SEOptimer has expanded its feature set beyond core website auditing to include keyword tracking, keyword research, backlink research and monitoring, white-label auditing for agencies, and an SEO crawler.

Based in Singapore, SEOptimer has a global remote team spread out across 7 different countries including Singapore, South Africa, Romania, Poland, and Ukraine.

History

SEOptimer was originally created in 2012 by Paweł Rabinek[1] as a free on-page SEO audit tool.

The platform quickly gained popularity for its ability to comprehensively review websites in under 30 seconds and provide insights on factors that affect both search engine rankings and user experience, such as page load speed and mobile usability.

In 2016, SEOptimer was acquired by Adam Krzywda[2], who oversaw rapid feature development and expansion. Under his leadership, the platform grew to serve over 3,000 customers, reach approximately 400,000 monthly visitors, and offer services in 17 languages.

SEOptimer is incorporated in Singapore and operates with a global remote team across seven countries.

Notable Acquisitions

Acquisitions made by SEOptimer include:

Subsidiaries

SEOptimer also owns and runs two other SEO tools:

LocalRanking: a local SEO focused tool for improving Google Business Profile and local rankings. The tool includes the following features: GBP Audits, Local Rank Tracker, GBP Posts Scheduler, Google Review Management.

Software Features

SEOptimer offers a comprehensive suite of search engine optimization (SEO) and website audit tools aimed at website owners, marketers, and agencies. Key features include:

  • Website audit: SEOptimer can perform automated audits of websites, evaluating technical SEO, on‑page elements, usability, and performance. This includes checks on page metadata, headers, structured data, SSL, rendering across devices, page speed (including Core Web Vitals), and site accessibility.
  • White‑label reports: Users (especially agencies or web designers) can generate fully branded PDF audit reports. Reports can be customized with the user’s logo, company details, fonts, colour scheme, and language selection. Multiple report templates are supported, and different audit sections/checks can be switched on or off.
  • Embeddable audit tool: An embeddable version of the audit tool can be integrated into a website to allow visitors or potential clients to request a site audit. The embed supports custom styling to match the site’s branding and can be connected to webhooks or external tools (e.g. CRM) to capture leads.
  • SEO crawler: The tool includes a crawler that can scan all pages of a website to identify deeper issues that might not appear in a single-page audit. This helps detect technical, structural or performance problems across the full site.
  • Keyword research: SEOptimer provides a keyword research tool that allows users to search for keyword strings or input a URL/domain to identify which keywords a site ranks for. The feature returns data such as search volume, estimated traffic, keyword difficulty, and—even for paid-search benchmarking—estimated cost‑per‑click (CPC). It also surfaces related keyword suggestions.
  • Keyword tracking (rank tracking): Users can track the ranking positions of specific keywords over time. The tool shows which pages rank, weekly changes, estimated traffic, and allows export of ranking data in CSV, Excel or PDF formats. It supports tracking across different countries to reflect regional variations in search results.
  • Backlink research and monitoring: The platform offers a backlink checker to analyze a domain’s backlink profile, as well as a monitoring feature that tracks new and lost backlinks over time. Users can monitor changes in referring domains, get alerts on link profile changes, and view backlink history over periods such as weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly.
  • Bulk reporting and API access: For agencies, researchers, or large organisations, SEOptimer supports bulk reporting: uploading a large list (CSV) of website URLs and automatically generating audit reports (or exporting raw audit data). Via its API, users can submit URLs in JSON, retrieve audit data or scores, and build custom integrations or workflows to run audits at scale.
  • Task management for SEO projects: After audits or crawls, SEOptimer can convert findings into prioritized lists of tasks, helping users plan and manage SEO‑related fixes in an organized way. This helps streamline the process from audit to implementation.
  • Free SEO toolbox: In addition to the main modules, SEOptimer includes a selection of free SEO tools for common tasks such as generating meta tags, robots.txt files, XML sitemaps, or .htaccess files.
