Seon Technologies (styled SEON Technologies and commonly known as SEON) is a fraud prevention and AML compliance company founded in Budapest in 2017[1] and based in Austin, Texas[2] with offices in Budapest, London, Singapore, and Jakarta, Indonesia. The company provides fraud detection and anti-money laundering (AML) compliance systems that use artificial intelligence[3] to detect and prevent online fraud and verify customers' identities.
In 2021 SEON received Hungary's largest-ever Series A funding round. After a second funding round in 2022 the company's value surpassed $500 million. CNBC included SEON in its list of the World's Top Fintech Companies in 2025.[4]
In 2023 SEON acquired Complytron, a Hungarian firm specializing in compliance and AML.[5] In 2025 it introduced an AI-driven AML compliance suite.[6]
SEON publishes an annual Digital Fraud Outlook Report which surveys financial sector executives on their fraud prevention efforts.[7]
