Roger Jefcoate CBS DL is a British disability rights advocate, inventor, philanthropist, and charity founder known for pioneering assistive technologies for severely disabled people at Stoke Mandeville Hospital and for co-founding a number of UK disability charities. He is associated with the development of early environmental control systems, powered wheelchairs, and communication technologies for disabled users, including systems later associated with Stephen Hawking. He was appointed a Commander of the Order of British Empire (CBE) in 1998 for services to disabled people and became a Deputy lieutenant of Buckinghamshire in 2011.
