RIGID Industries is an American manufacturer of LED lighting products based in Gilbert, Arizona. The company produces forward-projecting LED lighting as well as scene lighting and accessories for off-road, powersports, marine, agricultural, industrial, military, and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) markets.[1] Founded in 2006, RIGID was acquired by Truck-Lite Co., LLC in February 2015 and is now a subsidiary of Clarience Technologies.[2][3]
History
Founding and early growth
RIGID Industries was founded in 2006 by Jason Christiansen in Gilbert, Arizona. The company specialized in high-intensity LED lighting using proprietary optical reflector designs for the off-road and powersports markets.
In 2013, RIGID was ranked No. 151 on the Inc. 500 list of fastest-growing private companies in the United States, with reported revenue growth of approximately 2,528% between 2009 and 2012.[4]
Acquisition by Truck-Lite (2015)
On February 5, 2015, Truck-Lite Co., LLC of Falconer, New York, then a member of the Penske Corporation, announced the acquisition of RIGID Industries. Financial terms were not disclosed.[5][2] At the time of the acquisition, RIGID was reported to employ more than 250 people and had customers in approximately 40 countries.[2]
Clarience Technologies era
RIGID Industries continued operating as a subsidiary under the Clarience Technologies umbrella, which also includes brands such as ECCO, Code 3, Lumitec, and LED Autolamps.[3]
In December 2024, Andy Kroll was named President of RIGID Industries.[3]
Operations
RIGID Industries is headquartered in Gilbert, Arizona, where it conducts product design and engineering.[1] The company has approximately 60 employees at its Arizona operations.
Products
RIGID Industries manufactures a range of LED lighting products, including:
- LED light bars
- Pod and cube lights
- Auxiliary and driving lights
- Rock lights
- Wiring harnesses, mounting hardware, and accessories
- Vehicle-specific lighting kits
Its products are marketed for use in off-road, powersports, marine, agricultural, construction, mining, public safety, military, and OEM applications.[1]
