Polycarpe Banlog is a Cameroonian politician born on June 17, 1957, in the district of Nyanon, Sanaga-Maritime Division. Since 2020, he has been the President of the Littoral Regional Council,.[1] elected during the statutory inaugural session, and he took the oath of office in the presence of the Regional Governor.
Early life
Polycarpe Banlog was born on June 17, 1957, in the district of Nyanon, Sanaga-Maritime Division. He is the son of the first mayor of the municipality of Ndom.
Career
Between 1996 and 2007, he served two consecutive terms as Mayor of the municipality of Nyanon[2] From 2013 to 2020, he was a Member of Parliament for Sanaga-Maritime.
Polycarpe Banlog is regarded as a pioneer in the region,[by whom?] having held several key positions. Among others, he was the first President of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) section in the Babimbi-North, Ndom, and Nyanon area.
In 2020, he was appointed President of the Littoral Regional Council.[3]
