• Comment: Unfortunately, none of these review sources would seem to meet the standard sought by WP:VG/S. If there isn't a reliable review out there, it's hard to say the game is notable. • Comment: The only source in the article at present which seems to contribute towards notability is the one from Rock Paper Shotgun. Everything else comes from lower quality sources (if not unreliable, like XboxEra per WP:VG/S), and those which can't establish notability (e.g. GameRant and ScreenRant per WP:VALNET). Pigeon Simulator is a 2025 simulation video game video game developed by Bossa Studios and TinyBuild.

The game was first announced by Bossa Studios in 2019.^[6][7][8][9] Its initial trailer presented it as a lighthearted animal simulator in which players took the role of a mischievous pigeon.^[10] No release date was revealed at the time.^[9]

The game was later cancelled by Bossa Studios. In 2021, TinyBuild announced that its studio HakJak had taken over development.^[11][12] The game was originally supposed to be released in 2024.^[13] After HakJak's closure in 2023^[14], which was part of a wider series of company-wide layoffs and company shutdowns at tinyBuild^[15], it was announced that the release of Pigeon Simulator was "uncertain". In November 2025, Xbox and tinyBuild announced that the game would be released on Xbox Game Pass, confirming that it had not been cancelled.^[11]

The game is a simulation game with both cooperative and solo gameplay. Players take the role of a pigeon who is an agent of the Paranormal Examination and Kontainment (P.E.K) unit, a secret agency that protects New Squawk City from paranormal dangers and everyday problems.^[16]

The game was released on November 11, 2025.^[16]

Pigeon Simulator received "Mixed or Average" reviews according to review aggregation website Metacritic.^[18]

Jesse Norris from XboxEra wrote that the cooperative mode was enjoyable but the solo gameplay was a waste of time.^[19] Terrence Johnson from ZTGD wrote "Pigeon Simulator has a premise you want to root for [...] but the repetitive mission design, underwhelming flight controls, weak progression, and lack of comedic punch make it difficult to recommend".^[20] ButWhyTho's Adrian Ruiz stated "Once it all clicks, Pigeon Simulator becomes a hilarious, chaotic ride".^[21] Adrian Gunning at Impluse Gamer noted "Pigeon Simulator is a chaotic co‑op comedy that soars when shared but struggles alone."^[22]
