Onclusive is a global media intelligence and analytics company that provides media monitoring, measurement, and communications technology tools to public relations, corporate communications, and marketing professionals.
History
Onclusive’s corporate lineage includes several predecessor companies that operated independently before being combined into a unified media intelligence provider. The original business, known as AirPR, was a U.S.-based public relations analytics firm that operated in the communications technology sector in the 2010s and was active in developing data-driven metrics for media measurement. In 2019, the business acquired Ozmotik, a provider of content analytics, expanding its analytics capabilities and laying the groundwork for broader media intelligence services. Acquisition records list Ozmotik among the firms taken on by Onclusive prior to its later mergers.
Onclusive introduced a unified brand and positioning in March 2022 to reflect the company’s combined technology and services across media monitoring, measurement, and workflow management, signalling the transition from a collection of businesses into a single global provider.[1][2]
n May 2022, the newly configured Onclusive continued its expansion through acquisition with the purchase of Critical Mention, a U.S.-based media monitoring platform with broadcast and media contacts capabilities. Industry coverage cited the integration of Critical Mention’s technology into Onclusive’s global platform as strengthening its earned media monitoring offering.[3][4]
Later that year, Onclusive acquired Digimind, a France-originated social listening and competitive intelligence provider with operations in multiple international markets. Independent reporting noted that Digimind had been founded and headquartered in France, while operating globally, and that the acquisition expanded Onclusive’s social media analytics capabilities.[5][6]
Leadership
Onclusive’s executive leadership evolved during and after the 2022 merger. At launch, STG appointed Manuel Moerbach, formerly president and CEO for the Americas and APAC at Statista, as CEO of the combined business.[7] In mid-2022, Moerbach resigned, and analytics executive Rob Stone, former Chief Strategy Officer at Escalent and former CEO of Grail Insights, took over as CEO. STG operating partner John Ouren became Executive Chairman of Onclusive’s board.[8]
Growth and acquisitions
Onclusive has expanded through the acquisition of complementary monitoring and analytics technologies. In May 2022, the company acquired Critical Mention, strengthening its broadcast and North American media monitoring capabilities. Later that year, it acquired Digimind, broadening its social listening and competitive intelligence offering. These acquisitions have been documented in independent industry and financial press and formed part of STG’s consolidation strategy within the communications technology sector.[8]
Awards and Recognition
Onclusive also won additional awards at the 2024 AMEC Global Communication Effectiveness Awards, including recognition in categories such as Best evaluation on a small budget and Best use of social media measurement.[9]
