Ocewana E. Baker (born April 29, 2005) is an American filmmaker, actress, entrepreneur, politician, advocate, and political candidate from Hagerstown, Maryland. Her work has included independent horror filmmaking, community advocacy, and political organizing in Western Maryland.[1][2]
Early life
Ocewana E. Baker was born in Hagerstown, Maryland. According to her campaign biography, she experienced periods of homelessness during her youth and later became involved in advocacy efforts related to addiction recovery, homelessness awareness, mental health awareness, and support for survivors of abuse.[3]
Film career
Her involvement in filmmaking began through independent horror productions and online media projects. She worked on the upcoming horror film Waynesboro Massacre as a writer, cinematographer, editor, and actress, portraying the character Melvin Briar ("Mel").[4]
She later contributed to Halloween the 31st: The Curse Continues... as creative director, assistant editor, and co-cinematographer.[5]
Outside of film, she founded the brands Pandemic Cosmetics and Malique Apparel.[6]
