masLabor (stylized as másLabor) is an American H-2A and H-2B visa workforce services company headquartered in Charlottesville, Virginia. The company facilitates the recruitment, placement, and compliance management of seasonal foreign workers for U.S. employers in agriculture, hospitality, landscaping, construction, and other industries.[1] masLabor also provides services related to TN visas and employment-based green card sponsorship.[2]
In 2022, masLabor merged with AgWorks H2 to form what was described by industry publications as the largest H-2A and H-2B visa service provider in the United States.[3]
History
masLabor was founded in the early 2000s in Charlottesville, Virginia, providing H-2A visa services to agricultural employers in the southeastern United States.[4] The company grew to serve employers across multiple states, handling worker recruitment from Latin America, regulatory compliance, housing and transportation logistics, and payroll administration for seasonal visa programs.[5]
In July 2022, masLabor merged with AgWorks H2, another H-2A and H-2B service provider. The combined entity retained the masLabor name and was described by Fruit Growers News as forming the largest H-2 visa service provider in the country.[3] The merger was covered across agricultural trade publications including Greenhouse Grower,[6] Digger Magazine,[7] and Nursery Management.[8]
In November 2024, masLabor named Chris Ball as CEO, succeeding Edward Silva.[9][10]
The company is backed by private equity firm Pacific Lake Partners.[11]
Services
masLabor provides end-to-end services for U.S. employers seeking to hire seasonal workers through federal visa programs. Its core business involves the H-2A visa program for agricultural workers and the H-2B visa program for seasonal non-agricultural workers in industries such as hospitality, landscaping, seafood processing, and construction.[1] The company handles the application process, worker recruitment primarily from Latin American countries, regulatory compliance, and ongoing workforce management.[5]
In a 2025 interview with The Packer, CEO Chris Ball stated that the H-2A program's worker absconding rate was under 2%, with approximately 80% of workers returning to the same employer the following season.[1]
masLabor has also worked with the wine industry in Virginia, where the company has been involved in placing H-2A workers at vineyards facing domestic labor shortages.[4][12]
In 2025, masLabor partnered with NoCap Sports to explore the use of temporary work visas for international NCAA athletes facing employment restrictions under F-1 student visa rules. Sportico reported that the companies had spoken with approximately two dozen NCAA schools, primarily from Power Four programs.[2]
Technology
In 2025, masLabor launched masData, an AI-powered workforce management platform designed to streamline data sharing and operational logistics for H-2A employers.[13] The platform was also covered by Greenhouse Grower[14] and The AI Journal.[15]
masLabor also formed a joint venture with LaborMex to expand its recruitment operations in Mexico.[16]
Legal
masLabor was named as a party in a National Labor Relations Board case (05-CA-190783) alongside Trump Vineyard Estates, LLC, involving questions of joint employer status.[17]
