Early life
Born on November 5, 2008, in Orlando, Florida. He began experimenting with music at his family home's patio in 2018, encouraged by his grandfather and a growing interest in sound. Morji's musical style is influenced by a diverse range of genre-blending artists, including Marshmello, Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, and Juice WRLD. These influences have shaped his approach to fusing pop, hip-hop, and electronic elements, creating what he describes as immersive, emotionally charged soundscapes.
Career
2018: "Mellowwalk" and early beginnings
Before formally entering music production, Williams was active on several online platforms throughout his childhood and early teens. His earliest known channel on YouTube, was created when he was 10 years old. The channel featured gameplay videos, early creative experiments, and content reflecting his interest in digital media.
Morji's creative journey officially began with the release of "Mellowwalk," a beat he crafted at just 10 years old. This marked his initial foray into music production.
2021: TunesToTube, YouTube type beat's
In 2021, at ages 12–13, Morji created additional YouTube channels, including IShowJae, Jae Romani!, and another channel under the same name. These channels showcased music-related uploads, marking a transitional period as he began exploring artistic identity and online presence more seriously.
2022: Underground rap collectives and TikTok promo
With help from Discord, Williams founded 8ngels, a small creative collective focused on music, visuals, and youth collaboration. The group maintained a presence on TikTok under the handle @8ngelsss, where he posted short-form content, promotional clips, and experimental videos that contributed to Morji’s artistic development and growing online visibility.
2025: BLUE EP
In August 2025, Morji released his surprise EP, titled BLUE. Described by Morji as a "mixtape EP,"[1] the project is noted for its bold, high-impact production. The tracks for BLUE were recorded between April 2024 and July 2025[2], reflecting a significant period of creative development for the artist. The EP emphasizes sonic intensity, mood, and atmosphere over traditional lyrical complexity.
BLUE was preceded by the singles "Fengshui" and "Mascara Waterfalls." Morji personally edited the EP's cover art, which features the word "BLUE" in bold, three-dimensional text against a stark black backdrop. This visual, inspired by aespa's Drama album, is intended to mirror the raw energy of the EP and highlight Morji's hands-on artistic vision.
