(Mission Everest) is a reality television series telecast first on National Geographic Channel India on 20th April 2003. With the Indian Army sending an expedition to Mount Everest in the golden jubilee year of the first summit of Mt. Everest by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay, the National Geographic Channel in India decided to send Five Indian citizens along with them till the Everest Base Camp. The show was one of the first reality television series out of India and the first one in the Adventure genre. It was also NGC India's first local production.[1]
